And We Danced DJ Entertainment With RuPaul’s Drag Queens At The HUB-Robeson Center

As they took over the HUB-Robeson Center at Penn State in honor of April’s Campus Pride Month, the LGBTQA Student Resource Center at Penn State invited two drag queens, Tatianna and Cynthia Lee Fontaine, that had appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race. Tatianna appeared on Season 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race and Season 2 of RuPaul’s All Stars, and Cynthia Lee Fontaine appeared on Season 8 and 9 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Eight local drag queens joined RuPaul’s drags queens for the day of festivities.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment played a wide range of music for the HUB-Robeson audience as well as many drag queen favorites while Drag Queen Story Time, Drag Queen Bingo and Drag Queen Performances took place in the Freeman and Noontime Lounges. Various organizations representing the LGBTQA community took over the first floor of the HUB-Robeson Center providing information for students.

RuPaul’s Drag Race is a reality competition documenting RuPaul’s search for America’s next drag queen superstar. Joey Santolini, professionally known as Tatianna, is an American drag queen performer and musician who appeared on Season 2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Tatianna came in first place while playing the annual “Snatch Game” challenge but came in fourth after losing a lip sync competition during her Season 2 appearance on RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Carlos Alfonso Díaz Hernández, professionally known as Cynthia Lee Fontaine, is a Puerto Rican drag queen performer and reality television personality. Cynthia Lee Fontaine was the third queen eliminated during season 8, but fans voted the queen as Miss Congeniality. Fontaine came back as the 14th queen for season 9 but was sent home losing to Peppermint during a lip sync competition.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment At The Bellefonte Area High School Class Of 2020 Junior Prom

And We Danced DJ Entertainment had an awesome night celebrating the Bellefonte Area High School Class of 2020 Junior Prom in the high school auxiliary gymnasium. The theme for the event was “A Night in the City.” The Bellefonte Class of 2020 prom committee did a marvelous job decorating the gymnasium with city scenery highlighted with lighting, a crescent moon, park benches and street lights. The young women wore a variety of colorful and exotic full-length evening gowns, above the knee gowns or a play on short and long gowns. Young men were clad in trendy and colorful tuxes alongside debonair suits. Everyone was excited and eager to dance the night away.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment officially opened the dance floor at 7:30pm. The floor remained packed with guests dancing for the remainder of the night. During Pitbull’s “Fireball,” guests formed a party train and circled the room adding more and more people to the party train lineup. The “Cupid Shuffle,” “Cha Cha Slide” and the “Macarena” also showed the great fun and dancing abilities of the guests that night.

Every year, a junior is crowned Miss Bellefonte during the spring Junior Prom festivities. The new 2019-2020 Miss Bellefonte is chosen by the Bellefonte Area School District teachers and staff. All eligible students for Miss Bellefonte must carry an 85 percent scholastic average. The voting for Miss Bellefonte is based on character, poise, appearance and scholastic achievements of eligible Bellefonte High School students. At 9:00pm, Lissi Przybys, Miss Bellefonte 2018-2019, had the honor of crowning Abigail Harper, Miss Bellefonte 2019-2020. The Miss Bellefonte term will last for one year before the next girl is crowned.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment At The Penn State Army ROTC Dining Out 2019

And We Danced DJ Entertainment had the pleasure of providing music for the Penn State Army ROTC Dining Out 2019. Current cadets escorted their parents, family and significant others to this year’s event at the Bryce Jordan Center. The Bryce Jordan Center staff had the main floor splashed with blue uplighting highlighting the dining and dance areas. Bryce Jordan Center Catering provided the scrumptious dinner for the event. After the retiring of the colors and final remarks, guests had the opportunity to take some fun photos with Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths. Guests were also encouraged to have fun dancing to familiar tunes.

Many people could be seen dancing to old and new dance tunes. Family members along with cadets cut a rug on the Bryce Jordan Center’s floor. Guests visiting Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths could be seen dancing to familiar songs while waiting for their turn behind the BIG camera. Karaoke was also available for guests at the Army ROTC Dining Out 2019.

Military training has been a tradition since the inception of Penn State. In the early years, training was provided by civilians familiar with military protocol. Later, a full-time professor of Military Science was added to the roster at Penn State. Penn State provided military training for many men that fought in World War I and World War II. In 1916, an ROTC unit was established at Penn State. Throughout the years, training has changed from the initial drills to instruction in all branches of the military to general military science training. Today, Penn State has one of the top ROTC programs in the country. The Nittany Lion Battalion today includes four companies. Three are known on the main campus, and the fourth is part of the Altoona campus.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment At Angelina’s Quinceañera

And We Danced DJ Entertainment had the pleasure of celebrating Angelina’s quinceañera at the Mountain View Country Club while winter storm Harper was blowing rain, sleet, ice and snow into the Centre County region. Jennifer Swindle was the photographer gathering Angelina, her family, and her Court together to snap some awesome pictures of this fabulous event. Delectable Delights by Heather Luce provided the sumptuous three tier cake.

Angelina wore a beautiful sleeveless, royal blue, floor length gown with an exceptionally full skirt and alternating ruffles of royal blue organza for her presentation with accentuating beading on the bodice. Her damas, female members of the quinceañera court, were attired in a sleeveless, taupe, lace bodice with a short champagne colored skirt. Angelina’s chambelanes, her honor escort and male members of the quinceañera court, sported white shirts, royal blue suspenders, royal blue bow ties and black pants.

A quinceañera is a celebration of a young girl’s coming of age on her fifteenth birthday. The cultural roots of a quinceañera reside in the areas colonized by Spain in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. The night includes food, music, the formal entry, the toast, the father/daughter dance, the crowning, the changing of shoes, the very important waltz performed by the quinceañera, her honor escort and her Court, the cake cutting and the thank-you’s. The quinceañera traditionally never danced in public until they turned fifteen. So, the quinceañera waltz is a very elaborate choreographed dance introducing the young girl to society.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment furnished the magical old, new and Spanish tunes for all to enjoy that night. Dancing began with a slow number while Angelina and her father, Reggie, danced the traditional father/daughter dance. The dance floor was opened for all to relax and have some fun before the traditional quinceañera waltz. The quinceañera waltz was marvelous, and Angelina had the opportunity to not only dance with her chambelan but also her brother. It was a touching moment to see the brother and sister waltz together. The crowd sang Feliz Cumpleaños or Happy Birthday to Angelina after she cut the cake. The night ended with Donna Summer’s singing “Last Dance”.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment At The Penn State Graduate & Professional Student Association 2018 Winter Gala

And We Danced DJ Entertainment had the pleasure of providing the musical entertainment for Penn State’s Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA) as they celebrated their Winter Gala at the Nittany Lion Inn! This was the fourth consecutive year And We Danced DJ Entertainment has been part of this fabulous event. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was also busy that night as guests posed for pictures with their significant other and with friends.

The Nittany Lion Inn Alumni Ballroom was infused with blue uplighting inviting guests to mingle, talk, eat and enjoy the talent of And We Danced DJ Entertainment. The Nittany Lion Inn prepared a delicious buffet of food for the guests which was sampled many times. Guests then began to prepare for the opening of the dance floor. And We Danced DJ Entertainment had everyone up and moving with Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” Dance lights were flashing and guests were getting down! The floor was packed with dancing bodies the entire night be it a fast grinding beat or a slow song inviting significant others to sway across the dance floor. No one wanted to go home at the end of the night! And We Danced DJ Entertainment played one more request before sending the guests into the night. Old and new faces said good-bye to And We Danced DJ Entertainment and to this year’s Winter Gala. Many can’t wait till next year’s event!

The Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) is a student run Penn State University organization promoting graduate and professional students interests. The GPSA is the oldest existing student governing organization at Penn State. The organization is comprised of the Executive, the Assembly and the Judiciary. The member positions in the Executive and Assembly are changed each April with an election and graduate and professional student vote. The Judiciary body is comprised of three members appointed by the President and approved by the Assembly.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment At The Tomasko-Sachdeva Wedding

And We Danced DJ Entertainment had the pleasure of providing the musical entertainment and emceeing for Amy Tomasko and Diljot Sachdeva’s wedding reception held at Earlystown Manor Bed & Breakfast in early November. Amy chose marsala, navy blue, blush and rose gold as the key colors for her wedding day. The bride wore a beautiful white off the shoulder, short sleeve wedding gown with wonderful lace embellishments. Diljot sported a navy blue suit with a marsala colored tie. Fr. Zab Amar performed the wedding ceremony for Diljot and Amy at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center.

Earlystown’s Event Coordinator, Meaghan Fenstermacher, was the lovely organizer for the wedding reception. She was a busy little bee setting everything up inside the wedding tent and helping the events run smoothly throughout the night. Brown Dog Catering presented a lavish assortment of hors d’oeuvres and a delicious buffet for all to partake and enjoy. Pocketful of Posies supplied beautiful bouquets and table arrangements along with corsages and boutonnières. Sara Rosenberger Blose of Bona Fide Photography was the wonderful photographer that captured the couple’s epic first dance and all the magnificent splendor throughout the night. Delectable Delights by Heather Luce provided the sumptuous, three tier cake.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment furnished the magical tunes for all to enjoy that night. Diljot and Amy decided to begin their night with the father/daughter dance. The mother/son dance quickly followed which was beautiful to see. The groom, his mother, personal friends, and family danced a lively Bollywood song. Next came the impressive first dance. It was apparent that Diljot and Amy practiced and choreographed their first dance to “Is That Alright?” by Lady Gaga. It was spectacular!!! Amy followed tradition and danced the “Bridal Dance.” She also added a special dance for people celebrating memorable anniversaries with the “Anniversary Waltz.”

And We Danced DJ Entertainment At The 48th Annual Middle Atlantic College Stores Meeting

And We Danced DJ Entertainment had an awesome time with the Middle Atlantic College Stores (MACS) organization at their 48th annual meeting and buying show that was held at the Nittany Lion Inn. The Middle Atlantic College Stores (MACS) is an organization that provides learning, teaching and networking for all its members in a supportive and collaborative environment. MACS tailgated and played some marvelous games, put together a spectacular fashion show of featuring new vendor lines for the coming season to see in college stores, and installed their new board with And We Danced DJ Entertainment. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was also tailgating with the MACS attendees. No one was shy behind the BIG camera that night.

The MACS attendees might not having been playing football in the ballroom, but they were playing some interesting team sports with And We Danced DJ Entertainment. It was hilarious watching teams grab a straw and suck up a marshmallow before heading back to the next player. The first team to get one marshmallow for each player won the game. Attendees were also seen passing a balloon without touching it with their hands, sculpting interesting marshmallow designs, and playing a twisted form of musical chairs. And We Danced DJ Entertainment had a great time with all the participants tailgating in the ballroom that night.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment played sports songs and emceed the 2018 Fashion Show Luncheon. A group of male and female Penn State students were the models for the big event. They did a fantastic job modeling the new vendor clothing apparel lines alongside a variety of sunglasses, towels, and drink holders sporting the various Middle Atlantic colleges logos that are part of the MACS organization.

Later that night, And We Danced DJ Entertainment provided background and dance music for the installation of the new MACS board officers. Many attendees were singing in their seats or dancing with coworkers. Many dazzled the crowd with their dancing abilities.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment At The “Fit For Fritz” Hope Lodge Hershey, PA Fundraiser

And We Danced DJ Entertainment had the opportunity to provide music for the recent 2018 Fit For Fritz fundraiser, where a walk-a-thon, dodgeball tournament, and fun games were held at the Penn State multi-sport facility. The fundraising event is in honor of Fritz Spence, assistant track and field coach at Penn State, who was diagnosed twice with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) but has twice battled the disease and is today in remission. Each year, the Penn State Track & Field athletes raise money in honor of Fritz Spence and donate the proceeds to Hope Lodge.

Hope Lodge is a facility funded by the American Cancer Society for cancer patients and their families throughout the United States. It provides a cost-free-living environment for cancer patients and their families in their time of need. The money raised each year during the Fit For Fritz event is donated to the Hope Lodge located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This is the facility Fritz and his family spent a great deal of time at while receiving his treatments.

The event started with the singing of the national anthem by Elyse Skerpon, a junior on Penn State’s Track and Field roster. Fritz then began the walk-a-thon with the firing of the gun. The gun didn’t want to fire, but Fritz finally got it working! The participants did eight laps around Penn State’s indoor track field located in the multi-sport facility. Once the eight laps were completed, groups began to play cornhole, shoot some baskets, sign up for the dodgeball tournament, and play some fun games. The dodgeball tournament was a big hit with participants. Many groups signed up to play in the event. The tournament didn’t conclude until the final 15 minutes of the event. Coach Spence even made a guest appearance behind the DJ booth!

Everyone present at the event had the opportunity to register and be a bone marrow match for someone in need. There were also theme baskets. A person could purchase a ticket and place the ticket in the ticket carrier located in front of the theme basket they personally wanted to win. Winners were announced at the end of the event.
