And We Danced DJ Entertainment had the pleasure of being the musical entertainment for the State College Area School District Senior Prom at Memorial Field on a sultry spring evening. And We Danced DJ Entertainment played background music during dinner and switched to memorable pop tracks for the rest of the night for an incredible dancing experience.

Memorial Field was transformed into a wonderland setting for a senior prom. Students entered the gates and descended down to the field through a balloon and tinsel festooned tunnel extravaganza. Tables were resplendent with black, white, gray or maroon linens with four place settings.

A sit down dinner was planned before dancing. During dinner, students were able to participate in a game show event. Prizes were awarded to the winners. Oxymoron, a local State College group, were the people introducing and carrying out the gaming program. While students were participating in the gaming competition, others were mingling with friends and partaking of the dessert selections, anticipating the exciting dancing that was soon to take place.

As Oxymoron said goodbye to the students, And We Danced DJ Entertainment began ramping up the music inviting the senior class to come out to the dance floor and have some fun dancing to an expertly curated dance mix. A breeze was present on the field to keep guests cool and comfortable. Sneakers were prevalent among the assembly of students on the field. Many were quick to begin to dance, while others were requesting particular songs from the DJ. It didn’t matter if the song was old or new, the crowd had fun, sang and danced their hearts out.

Thank you State College Area School District seniors for inviting And We Danced DJ Entertainment to be a part of an exciting event! We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Today let’s meet one of the owners and DJs of And We Danced – DJ Chloe!

Hello DJ Chloe! What is your role at And We Danced DJ Entertainment?

I am an owner and DJ for And We Danced DJ Entertainment.

How did you get into the DJ business?

My parents have been in DJ entertainment business for many years. As I got older, they taught me how to work a mixer and prepare songs for an event. So, I learned the DJ business since it was part of my parents’ lives.

What is your favorite color?

I love the color hot pink.

What type of pet would you like to adopt?

I am a dog lover. My favorite is my miniature dachshund. She is my snuggle buddy and best buddy besides my sister.

What is your favorite food item?

My favorite food item are sugar cookies. My mom makes the best cutout sugar cookies. For my birthday, she makes me a batch with my favorite color icing. I can’t stop eating them because they taste so good.

What do you enjoy about DJing an event?

I love watching how people react to the songs I play. It is fun to see everyone dancing and having fun, but sometimes I like to test some musical selections to find out what people think.

What is your favorite artist/band/music genre?

I love electronic music.

Do you create your own remixes?

I do create my own remixes.  It’s really a blast doing that!

Do you feel different being a female DJ in a male dominated field?

I don’t think about it. My job as a DJ is to make sure the dance floor is packed with people dancing! As long as I make my clients and audience happy with my song selection and performance, then I can feel good about the impression that I make on the crowd! I like to be known as a DJ, and not just a female DJ!

And We Danced DJ Entertainment had the pleasure of celebrating Lex’s sweet sixteenth birthday at the Joshua House in Tyrone, Pennsylvania. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths’ BIG camera had a steady lineup of guests grabbing props, stepping behind the camera and posing for a festive birthday picture. The Joshua House was a stunning setting for the sweet sixteen party with balloons, tables, chairs, a birthday cake and an impressive buffet of Lex’s favorite foods. Lex’s mother was the caterer for the appetizing food present for the sweet sixteen birthday celebration.

Lex’s sweet sixteen celebration began with a prayer followed by the enjoyment of food. And We Danced DJ Entertainment provided background music for guests relaxing and enjoying the delicious food. After dinner, guests gathered around the sweet sixteen birthday cake. And We Danced DJ Entertainment provided the “Happy Birthday” song while guests sang to Lex. Lex cut the first piece for herself, and then spoke to the guests. She thanked everyone present for coming to her sweet sixteenth birthday bash and wanted everyone to have an awesome night dancing to the tunes from And We Danced DJ Entertainment or posing for Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths BIG camera!

Lex and her guests danced the night away to their favorite top country and pop hits. The well-known “Cupid Shuffle” and “Cha Cha Slide” had the floor packed. Pitbull’s “Fireball” had guests forming a conga line. As Lex began circling around the Joshua House, more and more guests joined the conga line. Lex could not get her dad or brother’s to join, but Mom and Lex’s aunts were ready, willing and able to conga along with the younger generation. Even the older crowd’s request for some eighties hits had the younger crowd out on the dance floor shaking their booty.

Thank you Lex for allowing And We Danced DJ Entertainment to provide the awesome tunes for your Sweet 16 celebration!

And We Danced DJ Entertainment spent a spectacular night at the Nittany Lion Inn with the Penn State Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) as they held their annual Winter Gala. This marked the fifth consecutive year that And We Danced DJ Entertainment was part of this wonderful event. And We Danced DJ Entertainment placed uplights throughout the Nittany Lion Inn Ballroom. A dazzling display of blue uplights gave guests a charming Penn State and Winter themed experience.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment provided light background music during the marvelous dinner. The Nittany Lion Inn captured everyone’s attention with the prime rib carving station. Other delicacies were abundantly displayed to fit vegan and non-vegan appetites. After dining on the delicious entrees, the lights were turned down, and the guests began to have fun dancing to classic, pop and international music favorites.

While some guests enjoyed dancing the night away, other guests spent time with friends and significant others at the Lotsa Laffs Photo Booth which was located inside the Nittany Lion Inn Ballroom this year. Lights were flashing throughout the night while guests danced to old standbys such as the Cupid Shuffle, Wobble, Cha Cha Slide and the Cotton-Eyed Joe. The dance floor was packed with guests that dancers were also dancing behind the DJ booth.

Each year the Graduate and Professional Student Association raises awareness for a local charitable organization during the Winter Gala. This year the Graduate and Professional Student Association collected donations at the door for Centre Safe, formerly the Centre County Women’s Resource Center. This organization helps to empower people that have been sexually abused, stalked or experienced domestic violence.

The Penn State Graduate and Professional Student Association Winter Gala is one of our absolute favorite events of the year! We can’t wait until next year when they host their next Winter Gala!

And We Danced DJ Entertainment had the pleasure of providing sound and music for the recent marriage of Fallon Mazza and Gary Glatz at Rolling Rails Lodge in Port Matilda. Fallon and Gary were married inside the lodge by Dr. James Glatz, an uncle to the groom. Fallon wore a stunning Casablanca strapless, white, jeweled gown from Diamonds & Lace Bridal Boutique. Gary and his ushers sported dark gray suits and white shirts. The bridesmaids were garbed in burgundy sleeveless gowns and carried handmade bouquets featuring burgundy and white flowers.

Viva Bella Salon was the hair designer and makeup artist for Fallon, her bridemaids and the mothers of the bride and groom. Tap Root Kitchens, a culinary enterprise gleaming ingredients from local farmers, presented a delightful assortment of hors d’oeuvres and a delicious buffet for all to partake and enjoy. Mallory Toulouse of Jane and Dave Photography was the incredible photographer capturing the breathtaking moments featuring Fallon, Gary and their loving family and friends. Shirley McLaughlin fashioned the splendid wedding cake. The newlyweds also had the traditional Pittsburgh Cookie Table alongside 3rd Wind Coffee Company’s fresh brewed coffee.

The newlyweds began their reception dancing to “When I Look Into Your Eyes” by Firehouse. After dinner and emotional toasts, a special anniversary song, “This Is It” by Scotty McCreery, pulled all married partners to the dance floor. Later, Alaskan guests welcomed Gary and Fallon to their new state by dancing and singing to Garth Brooks “Friends In Low Places” ending with an Eskimo kiss and a snowball fight. And We Danced DJ Entertainment kept the dance floor packed the entire night!

Thank you Gary and Fallon for choosing And We Danced DJ Entertainment to be a part of your wedding day festivities. Good luck as you begin your new life as husband and wife in Alaska!
