And We Danced DJ Entertainment had the pleasure of performing at the 2019 Bellefonte Area High School Homecoming dance. Bellefonte Area High School’s student body council sponsors the event each year prior to the homecoming kickoff game. During the dance, students had a chance to greet the students chosen for the 2019 Bellefonte Area High School homecoming court.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment welcomed Bellefonte Area High School’s students entering the high school cafeteria with lights and music. Students in the room were dancing, singing, posing for selfies and taking video of the lively event. The Bellefonte Area High School students danced to quite a few crowd pleasers such as the Cupid Shuffle and the Cha Cha Slide. When Pitbull’s Fireball began to play, the crowd quickly formed a conga line that traveled throughout the cafeteria gaining more and more conga dancers.

Homecoming welcomes back current Bellefonte Area High School students, former Bellefonte Area High School students, Bellefonte Area High School teachers and former Bellefonte Area High School teachers. Usually homecoming is focused upon a sporting event such as a football game. Homecoming activities encouraged school pride and support as the Bellefonte Red Raiders took on the Penns Valley Rams.

Later in the week at the Bellefonte Red Raiders – Penns Valley Rams football game, Bellefonte Area High School crowned its homecoming queen and king at halftime. The homecoming court included second runners-up Kara Mellott and Mitchell Holden along with runners-up Olivia Reiter and Tyler Muse. The 2019 homecoming queen was Mallorie Smith. The 2019 homecoming king was Aaron Little. Congratulations to all of these fine young adults!

Thank you Bellefonte Area High School for allowing And We Danced DJ Entertainment to play a part in your 2019 Homecoming celebrations!

And We Danced DJ Entertainment had the pleasure of providing music for the Penn State Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity’s welcome reception that was held at Heritage Hall in Penn State’s HUB Robeson Center. Various Penn State organizations were on hand eager to talk to new and returning students. Brian Patchcoski, Director of the Penn State Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity, and Sonya Wilmoth, Assistant Director of the Penn State Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity, were greeting and welcoming students to the festive gathering.

This is the second year that And We Danced DJ Entertainment provided music for the awesome event! Students, faculty and organizational staff had fun hearing and dancing to LBGTQ Pride songs, pop LBGTQ songs and familiar line dancing songs such as the YMCA, Cupid Shuffle and the Cha Cha Slide. Even some of Penn State’s local police force members could not pass up the opportunity of dancing to the Cupid Shuffle.

Penn State’s Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity serves the entire Penn State community. It is currently located in the Boucke Building. Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and Wednesday they have expanded hours from 5 pm to 8 pm. The group recently changed it’s name to better serve the diversity that exists in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and related identities of the LGBTQ+ community. They offer educational social and supportive programs alongside workshops and individual consultations. The staff is always available and eager to support students, faculty and staff and honor each person’s gender and sexual diversity. The group has social media links to their activities on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr and Snapchat.

We send a big thank you out to the Penn State Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity for choosing And We Danced DJ Entertainment to be part of your welcoming reception!
