And We Danced DJ Entertainment spent a spectacular night at the Nittany Lion Inn with the Penn State Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) as they held their annual Winter Gala. This marked the fifth consecutive year that And We Danced DJ Entertainment was part of this wonderful event. And We Danced DJ Entertainment placed uplights throughout the Nittany Lion Inn Ballroom. A dazzling display of blue uplights gave guests a charming Penn State and Winter themed experience.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment provided light background music during the marvelous dinner. The Nittany Lion Inn captured everyone’s attention with the prime rib carving station. Other delicacies were abundantly displayed to fit vegan and non-vegan appetites. After dining on the delicious entrees, the lights were turned down, and the guests began to have fun dancing to classic, pop and international music favorites.

While some guests enjoyed dancing the night away, other guests spent time with friends and significant others at the Lotsa Laffs Photo Booth which was located inside the Nittany Lion Inn Ballroom this year. Lights were flashing throughout the night while guests danced to old standbys such as the Cupid Shuffle, Wobble, Cha Cha Slide and the Cotton-Eyed Joe. The dance floor was packed with guests that dancers were also dancing behind the DJ booth.

Each year the Graduate and Professional Student Association raises awareness for a local charitable organization during the Winter Gala. This year the Graduate and Professional Student Association collected donations at the door for Centre Safe, formerly the Centre County Women’s Resource Center. This organization helps to empower people that have been sexually abused, stalked or experienced domestic violence.

The Penn State Graduate and Professional Student Association Winter Gala is one of our absolute favorite events of the year! We can’t wait until next year when they host their next Winter Gala!

Mallory Toulouse of Jane and Dave Photography was the incredible photographer capturing the breathtaking moments featuring Fallon, Gary and their loving family and friends. Shirley McLaughlin fashioned the splendid wedding cake. The newlyweds also had the traditional Pittsburgh Cookie Table alongside 3rd Wind Coffee Company’s fresh brewed coffee.

The newlyweds began their reception dancing to “When I Look Into Your Eyes” by Firehouse. After dinner and emotional toasts, a special anniversary song, “This Is It” by Scotty McCreery, pulled all married partners to the dance floor. Later, Alaskan guests welcomed Gary and Fallon to their new state by dancing and singing to Garth Brooks “Friends In Low Places” ending with an Eskimo kiss and a snowball fight. And We Danced DJ Entertainment kept the dance floor packed the entire night!

And We Danced DJ Entertainment had the pleasure of celebrating the marriage of Amber Miller to Brandon Dougherty at Earlystown Manor. Their reception followed their wedding nuptials which were performed by the godfather of the bride, Don Drass. Autumn is Amber’s favorite time of year, and she chose the season as the color theme for her wedding day. Amber wore a stunning Pine Ridge sleeveless, beaded, white gown with a white veil. Brandon sported a blue suit, white shirt and white tie. The bridesmaids were arrayed in teal, sleeveless gowns, and the groomsmen were attired with blue suits, white shirts and teal ties. Amber and her bridesmaids carried bouquets featuring white, burgundy and yellow flowers with taupe and brown floral accents. Brandon and his groomsmen were arrayed in burgundy and white boutonnieres.

Deb’s Creative Cakes and Decor crafted the beautiful three tiered wedding cake. CK’s Catering presented a delectable buffet for all to partake and indulge. Emily Lane of Emily Lane Photos was the wonderful photographer that captured the couple’s first dance and all the enchanting moments throughout the day and night. And We Danced DJ Entertainment provided the stellar musical tunes for all to enjoy that night. Brandon and Amber began their night dancing to Ed Sheeran and Beyonce’s duet version of Perfect. A memorable moment occurred when Brandon escorted his mother, Donna Boring, to the dance floor for the mother and son dance. Donna has been confined to a wheel chair and spent six months working to stand for this moment. Brandon helped her stand up and they slowly danced in place to Nichole Nordeman’s Slow Down!

Brandon and Amber spent the night talking, laughing, kissing, snuggling and dancing together and with family and friends. They met and attended Cambria Heights together. It took Amber many years before she agreed to go out with Brandon on a date. They are best friends and cannot wait to see what the world has in store for them as a married couple!

Thank you Brandon and Amber for choosing And We Danced DJ Entertainment to be a part of your wedding day festivities. Good luck in your new life as husband and wife!

And We Danced DJ Entertainment had the honor of providing the musical entertainment and uplighting for Avery and Griffin as they celebrated their B’nai Mitzvah at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center. During the busy cocktail hour, Avery, Griffin, family and friends had a chance to enjoy some fun-filled games. Great prizes were awarded to the winning player or team that evening. The Penn Stater’s Eric Paul Olbrich and his staff were awesome organizing the cleanup once the entertaining contests ended.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment had the hall pumped for Avery and Griffin’s grand entrance. They chose Panic! At the Disco’s “Hey Look Ma, I Made It” along with Lil Nax X featuring Billie Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road” to make their grand appearance. They ran into the room with all the hooting, hollering and clapping normally heard at a sporting event. Rabbi David E. Ostrich said the prayer and broke the bread before everyone began enjoying the scrumptious buffet provided by the Penn Stater chefs and staff. Later, guests enjoyed cake, pie, and three delicious choices of Penn State Creamery ice cream for dessert. Friends and family were invited to take home some tasty candy treats.

Sara Rosenberger Blose of Bona Fide Photography captured the amusing game moments and exciting night. Balloons were hanging from the ceiling with twinkling lights alongside marvelous balloon decorations created by Star Valle Entertainment and Decor. Guests were busy behind Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths BIG camera throughout the night. Guests were adjusting and changing props while the camera captured their memorable moment. And We Danced DJ Entertainment kept the guests dancing the entire night. Avery, Griffin, family and friends had the dance floor packed the entire night. And We Danced DJ Entertainment ended the exhilarating night with Panic! At the Disco’s “Victorious.”

Thank you Avery, Griffin, Kate and Stuart for allowing And We Danced DJ Entertainment to be a part of your B’nai Mitzvah. Mazel Tov Avery and Griffin!

And We Danced DJ Entertainment had the pleasure of performing at the 2019 Bellefonte Area High School Homecoming dance. Bellefonte Area High School’s student body council sponsors the event each year prior to the homecoming kickoff game. During the dance, students had a chance to greet the students chosen for the 2019 Bellefonte Area High School homecoming court.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment welcomed Bellefonte Area High School’s students entering the high school cafeteria with lights and music. Students in the room were dancing, singing, posing for selfies and taking video of the lively event. The Bellefonte Area High School students danced to quite a few crowd pleasers such as the Cupid Shuffle and the Cha Cha Slide. When Pitbull’s Fireball began to play, the crowd quickly formed a conga line that traveled throughout the cafeteria gaining more and more conga dancers.

Homecoming welcomes back current Bellefonte Area High School students, former Bellefonte Area High School students, Bellefonte Area High School teachers and former Bellefonte Area High School teachers. Usually homecoming is focused upon a sporting event such as a football game. Homecoming activities encouraged school pride and support as the Bellefonte Red Raiders took on the Penns Valley Rams.

Later in the week at the Bellefonte Red Raiders – Penns Valley Rams football game, Bellefonte Area High School crowned its homecoming queen and king at halftime. The homecoming court included second runners-up Kara Mellott and Mitchell Holden along with runners-up Olivia Reiter and Tyler Muse. The 2019 homecoming queen was Mallorie Smith. The 2019 homecoming king was Aaron Little. Congratulations to all of these fine young adults!
